We call them Sofa Sessions. These are not your gramma and grampa's portraits. They can be done as a stand-alone photo session, with the couple coming in just for doing something like you see above. But in most cases, couples do it as part of their couples boudoir session. If you have never done such a couple session, please do inquire! Couple sessions are very special. It's a very intimate time. There's something about being close together, holding that special pose for a minute longer than you would hold it at home if you were just sharing a long embrace, face to face. This is a whole new level, and it's memorable.
Back to Sofa Sessions. It's not your average couples portrait. These are much sexier, and are ideal for putting up on your wall at home! Imagine something like you and your love, up on the wall in a metal or acrylic print. (This is way too sexy for canvas. Canvas is for family photos). The basic concept we like to emulate in a Sofa Session is the James Bond vibe with the man, and the sexy girl vibe for her, as seen above. We have several poses than work great. Some of them are a little more spicy, but still tame enough for many people to still have on their living room wall. Or...go with the bedroom or master bath wall. It's such a wonderful thing to look at each day, there up on the wall. It reenforces your love and feelings toward each other just to look at it and be reminded of what you have in each other. Our set is looking fantastic, with all the colors and textures coordinated just right. Everything is aesthetically taken into account. Imagine you and yours, up on that wall. Of course, you could just get a digital version and keep it on your phone, iPad and such. But this is far better up on the wall. Do inquire!

So now we have two routes a potential client can book us for their amazing boudoir session. The usual route, which we have been offering for years, as most photographers do, is to send us an inquiry through our website, and front here, we begin communication, and then book a session if they are ready. but now, we can be booked instantly online, even selecting your shoot date. (as seen below) Some ladies see our website, and they know right away they want to book us. So to make things faster and more convenient, they can now grab their date immediately. Our session fee (as I write this now) is $375, which must be paid in order to book a date, and that can be done on the spot now, through Square. (using a credit card) After booking the session date, then we can begin communications and planning. Dawn is the planning queen around here, and our newest ladies would be communicating with her. There's already some basic info on our website already about planning and preparation, but Dawn will be finding out more about a new client and her dream boudoir session goals, and will be sending her special links to read more on prep. When it comes to Nashville boudoir photography, we keep on the cutting edge with our lookout sets, and our technology as well. We consider ourselves a boutique boudoir studio, not a boudoir factory. We limit how many sessions we do per month. It's not our goal to crank out 20 in a month! We don't want that, and we don't need that. Each of our ladies is special to us, and we want to give everyone the best...even if they booked instantly online. We will get to know their needs during the process. So, if you happen to be one of those ladies considering a session (or a man, looking to book his amazing lady), then here we are. You may now book online, instantly. So here's a great little story about one of our most recent clients, and our transition from the previous studio to the new one. This is Stephanie in all the photos, and I've selected these images to highlight here in this blog. (all images, and even her actual first name are used by written permission) All the images are from our NEW studio, even though we have many stunning ones from the previous studio. Although our studio is on the square in Gallatin, we still believe it's not too far to travel if you are coming from even south of Nashville. It's a chance to get out away from town, and be "away". You know how it's just sexy to be away from the normal town you live in. In fact, we've had several clients from other states find us on a web search, and come out here to shoot with us.
Stephanie was the last lady we had photographed in the old studio before we packed up and moved it across town to a bigger and better location. At some time in between our two photography studios, we finished designing and ordering Stephanie's absolutely stunning boudoir album. She had told Dawn that she would love to come back as a model for us to practice on in our new studio. We were already fresh off a photo session together with her, so we thought that would be a great idea. We needed this! Transitioning to a new studio, with different colors and different lighting and room shapes is something that takes some getting used to. So, once we had the studio looking pretty good, and ready for some real photo action, we had Stephanie come on in. I mean, we had the baby grand piano brought up some steep stairs into the new studio. That alone was no small task for our piano movers. Stephanie rocked a few really amazing piano shots, but I'm only showing one here, in order to keep the blog post from being too huge with photo content. So a big THANK YOU to Stephanie for modeling for us. I imagine she may want to order another album, because her images are amazing, and they are many. Her husband is going to love these images either way, even if only in digital form. I'm going to cut out here, and leave you with a small gallery of images from her recent session at the new studio. Enjoy! We have landed our dream photography studio. Dawn and I have been working like crazy people to get it all designed and decorated in quick time. We both have a very esthetic eye for decorating, and somehow we don't clash on idea. Well, very rarely. We are soooo thrilled about this new place to make photography art!
Above is a photo we shot just yesterday. Many of you are already familiar with Dawn's trademark tattoos and booty, so you know that's her in the photo. Consider it a teaser. By tomorrow, the studio will be ready. And of course, we constantly make adjustments and changes. We are now located right on the square in Gallatin, TN. Right in the middle of it actually, above the Firefly business, which is next door to Ovation Music and Studios. We absolutely LOVE our spot! We have more natural light to work with than ever, yet we still retain enough dark areas to use our signature style studio lighting. The photo above uses both. We are having a special wine & cheese gathering this Saturday at 4pm. We will have a solo acoustic guitar/vocal act present. His name is Patrick, and his voice is one of the most pleasing voices ever. Contact us if interested in coming. We are located at 101 E. Main Street #206 in Gallatin. Let the good times roll! Downtown Gallatin, on the square....it's happening. Boudoir á la Mode is moving into a bigger and better studio in April. (as if our current studio weren't already gorgeous). We will now have very high ceilings, some interior brick walls, hardwood flooring, more windows, more footage, and a much bigger and more photogenic kitchen for some very sexy and flirty kitchen boudoir images. And of course, our sexy black baby grand piano will be there, somewhere right in that space in the photo you see above.
